Masterfully Suite Dreams:
Get away from it all just
by walking upstairs
Design Home 2004 is progressing nicely,
as those who've been following its progress can tell.
This month we’ll walk you through the Master Bedroom
and Spa area for a sneak peak at the decadent details
that lie within.
Just up the stairs and a good bit away from the large,
open living spaces where togetherness is embraced (yet
chaos often resides) is a restful retreat for adults
to sneak a little "alone" time. This generous
and comfortable sitting area welcomes anyone needing
refreshed. It's also perfect for quiet reading.
A few steps further and you arrive at the doorway of
the enchanting Master Suite. Serene green walls welcome
you into a calming space, while soft shades of sand
in the lightly textured bedding accessories shower
it with
warmth. Complementing this monochromatic feel is the
neutral berber carpet underfoot. These earthy tones
add comfort without overwhelming the room and rely
on the
delicate green and rich blue accents of the shimmery
pillows to lend a punch of color.
The delicate light of wall sconces lend necessary ambiance.
But it's the window that will take your breath away.
The ceiling curves gracefully and ever-so-gently
around the beautiful arched window providing an impressive
focal point in the room. This incredible vista allows
streams
of natural light in, enhancing the aura that prevails.
Double doors open to the roomy walk-in closet and
inviting spa area, where the luxurious whirlpool
bath awaits
you. This generously sized tub promises peace at
the end of
a long, hard day. In the dressing area, the ceramic
tile floor is awash in a stunning display of gently-weathered
hues. Adding to the allure of this all-inviting
spa are
the bits of sea-salt blend spa glass in tranquil
blue and green that mingle with the weathered tiles
of gold.
Above-counter sinks add a style in a sleek, understated
fashion, while the ceramic tile shower sports the
latest in rain showerheads.
