Family Spaces Assure
Memories-in-the-making
The Intriguing Inglenook
A glimpse at this cozy spot reveals loads of vintage
character instilled with romance and charm. It's this
kind of warmth radiating throughout each and every
room that transforms this one-of-a-kind house into
a family home.
Everyone’s favorite space features a built-in bench
and hearth sporting one of the biggest and deepest fireplaces…perfect
for a restful, relaxing sitting area outside the hustle
of the kitchen. The Heatilator™ masonry-look fireplace
with traditional herringbone-patterned brick interior
delivers all the authenticity of yesteryear, while the
gas log insert adds the ambiance of a flickering fire
without the fuss of cutting and carrying wood.

ex-plains that the Terra Cotta Ter-mination Cap provides
the finest
example of a finishing touch. Built to resemble old-style
clay, this flue is the first of its kind to be used
in Michigan. The natural-looking materials harmonize
with
the landscape, yet aren't made from clay at all.

Behind the face of all things beautiful
lies a thousand and one details. Design Home 2004 is
no exception. Before the kitchen cabinetry from Williams
Kitchen and Bath can be installed, necessities must be
attended to. The plumbing must be laid, electricity must
be wired, and drywall must be finished.

Installing the plumbing for this year's design home
is Velco Plumbing, specialists in new residential
plumbing
and installation. Velco worked hand-in-hand with plumbing
wholesalers, Etna Supply Company, for everything from
pipes and fittings, to faucets, sinks, and toilets. Bolt & Regnerus
lent their electrical expertise, while Talsma Drywall
finished the walls in style, providing the rich look
and clean lines you'd expect in a distinctive home.
